Hello! I am Becky Guthner, and I’m happy to be at Pioneer this year as a third grade teacher. I received both my Bachelor’s Degree and my Master’s Degree at the University of Washington and have taught for many years in Washington State, Illinois, Texas, Oregon and California. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade, a little high school algebra, have been a reading and math specialist and mostly recently an academic coach of ELA and Math in Twin Rivers. My husband of 37 years and I have a daughter, son-in-law, and a son, a dog and two cats. I’m looking forward to another great year in education here at Pioneer.

This is my first year with Pioneer! I have experiencing teaching in kindergarten, 2nd grade, and now 3rd! I am currently part of Sac State's Master of Arts in Education program. Before teaching, I was a swim coach in Rocklin, CA.
