Ms. Chapman and her children
Hello! I am Valerie Chapman. I am looking forward to joining Pioneer this school year! This will be my 23rd year as a classroom teacher. This will be my 10th year teaching 2nd grade. I hope to bring a love of literacy to my students. I have 3 children, ages 21,19, and 17. I enjoy attending my daughter’s softball games and spending time with my extended family.

Christine Chellino

Christine Chellino

Hello, my name is Christine Chellino and I am so excited to be teaching second and third grade this year!

This is my 25th year of teaching and my sixth year at Pioneer.

As part of my teaching philosophy, I am a firm believer in teaching the whole child. Teaching students skills such as kindness, empathy, perseverance, and resilience are just as important as teaching them to read and write. I also believe that the connection between home and school are very important..

I love spending time at home with my family. In addition to our two fur babies, my husband and I have a beautiful daughter. She is an absolute joy. I am sure I will be sharing many stories about her throughout the year!

If you ever need to reach me please feel free to email me. I will do my best to answer any questions or concerns within 24 hours of receiving your email. Thank you for your cooperation and support. We are going to have a great year!

ILIANA ROMERO

Ms. Romero
Hello! My name is Iliana Romero, and I am excited to be part of the 2nd grade team here at Pioneer Elementary this year! It is going to be a year full of learning and exciting adventures!

A little about myself- I was born and raised in Southern California. I have been a Northern California resident for over three years! I received my Bachelors degree from San Diego State University, and a Masters from Grand Canyon University. Outside of school, you can find me at the gym, trying new restaurants, or hanging out with family and friends.

I look forward to teaching all my happy 2nd graders! I cannot wait to watch them grow and make lasting memories!
